Warren Hovenden, independent private coach, Chemin de la Colice 11, 1023 Crissier, Vaud, Switzerland. For any question about your data: contact@warrenhovenden.ch or +41 76 815 26 31.
This site is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revised FADP, in force since 1 September 2023).
Data collected on this site
This site has no forms and asks you for no name, address or password. You can read all of it without submitting any identifying data.
Only one category of data is processed automatically: the audience-measurement data described below. The server hosting the site keeps no access log.
Audience measurement and cookies
This site uses Google Tag Manager, which loads audience-measurement tools provided by Google. These tools place cookies on your device and record technical information about your visit:
- pages viewed, date and length of the visit
- device type, browser, operating system and screen resolution
- the page or advert that brought you here
- a truncated IP address, used to place you in an approximate region
This data is used only to understand how the site is used and to measure how advertising campaigns perform. It is never sold, never used to profile you individually, and no automated decision is made from it.
You can refuse or delete these cookies at any time in your browser settings, or install the opt-out add-on provided by Google. The site remains fully usable without them.
Contact by WhatsApp, email and phone
The buttons on this site open a WhatsApp conversation. If you write through that channel, your number and the content of your messages pass through WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta group) and are subject to its own terms. The same applies to email and phone: the details you give are kept solely to answer your request and to run your coaching.
Hosting and transfers abroad
The site is hosted in Switzerland. The audience-measurement data, however, is processed by Google Ireland Ltd and may be transferred to the United States under the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework recognised by the Federal Council.
Retention
Audience-measurement data is kept for a maximum of fourteen months and then deleted automatically. Correspondence relating to coaching is kept for the length of the client relationship and thereafter for the statutory retention period applicable in Switzerland.
Your rights
The revised FADP gives you the right to request access to your data, its correction, its deletion or its release in a readable format, and to object to its processing. Write to contact@warrenhovenden.ch: requests are handled free of charge, as a rule within thirty days. You may also refer the matter to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Security and changes
The site is served over HTTPS only. This policy may be updated if the tools used on the site change; the revision date appears at the top of this page.
Terms & conditions
Scope
These terms govern the coaching, nutrition and sports-massage services provided by Warren Hovenden, self-employed, Chemin de la Colice 11, 1023 Crissier. They are accepted when the first paid session is booked.
Services
- Personal training: one-to-one sessions, with a programme built after an initial assessment and reviewed every four weeks.
- Nutrition coaching: a personalised eating plan built from a seven-day audit.
- Sports massage: 60 or 90-minute sessions, recognised by some Swiss complementary insurers.
Warren Hovenden delivers every service himself. No service is delegated to a third party without your prior agreement.
Initial assessment
The first assessment is free and carries no obligation. It is there to set your goals and to work out whether coaching makes sense for you. Nothing is invoiced before you have accepted an offer.
Booking and cancellation
Sessions are booked by WhatsApp, email or phone. A session can be cancelled or moved free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed time. Inside that window, or in case of a no-show, the session is charged in full.
In the event of documented illness or injury, the session is rescheduled free of charge. A session cancelled by Warren Hovenden is either rescheduled or refunded, at the client's choice.
Rates and payment
Current rates are given at the initial assessment and confirmed in writing before any service begins. Single sessions are settled on the day; blocks are settled before the first session of the block, by bank transfer or TWINT.
Sessions in a block stay valid for twelve months from purchase. Blocks are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person with Warren Hovenden's agreement.
Any reimbursement for a massage is a matter for your complementary insurance; it is your responsibility to check your cover before the session.
Health and liability
Sports coaching and massage are neither a diagnosis nor a medical treatment, and do not replace medical advice. You undertake to disclose any injury, condition, pregnancy or ongoing treatment before the first session, and to consult a doctor if you have any doubt about your fitness to train.
You take part in sessions at your own risk. Warren Hovenden is liable in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, within the limits set by Swiss law. It is your responsibility to hold accident insurance as required by Swiss legislation.
Images and testimonials
No photo, video or testimonial featuring you is published without your prior written consent. That consent can be withdrawn at any time, in which case the content is removed from the site as soon as practicable.
Ending the collaboration
Either party may end the coaching at any time, in writing. Sessions already booked and not cancelled within the notice period remain payable. Warren Hovenden may end a coaching arrangement if the client's safety can no longer be assured, or in the event of inappropriate behaviour.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Lausanne, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction provided by law. If a clause is found invalid, the remaining clauses stay in force.
